The degradation of environment is probably the greatest concern dominating us today. While one section of the world is contributing recklessly to factors that degrade the environment. Another section is fighting hard and taking measures to reverse the loss and protect the good of nature, of whatever is left around us. MM Foam takes pride in saying, we belong to the latter.
This Earth Day, may we assure you that we have been contributing in our own ways to protect the environment by using more of natural materials and less of chemicals that pollute the surroundings. Our efforts to keep the environment protected have been recognized by organizations that rate products for their environmental safety.
To start with, MM Foam mattresses are made of natural latex derived from the sap output of Hevea Brasiliensis rubber trees. These trees help in reducing tons of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere.
Moreover, the cloth covers of MM Foam 100% natural latex mattresses, Pincore and Multicore, have been certified organic by three global organizations that rate textiles and related products for their natural standards.
Oeko–Tex® Standard 100 – Confidence in Textiles: It’s a global independent testing and certification system for raw, semi-finished, and finished textile products and accessory materials.
Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS): A four-member global organization, only textile products that contain a minimum of 70% organic fibres are certified by GOTS. It considers harvesting of raw materials through environmentally and socially responsible manufacturing right up to labeling, providing a credible assurance to the end-consumer.
Organic 100 from Ecocert: It’s a French inspection and certification body set up by agronomists propagating environment-friendly agriculture. It certifies materials that contain 95% or more organic material.
These are just some of the steps by MM Foam to protect the environment, while we are on our way to doing more.
