Excellent boutique hotel with wonderful facilities; balcony, bathroom, bedroom all top class. The whole hotel is great. The restaurant serves exceptionally good food throughout the day at very reasonable prices. The dhosas at breakfast were the best we had in many hotels during our stay as were the espresso based coffees. The hotel is perfectly positioned geographicically for walking around.The staff are exceptional, the best(and that is saying something as all the 4star hotels we stayed in had lovely staff) we encountered. “Great food. Very attentive staff.

Great location in Fort Kochi in walking distance of lots of tourist locations and 2 mins from the beach (small beach with the tide in).
Very happy to manage us as a family with 3 kids (7,9 and 9) but would make an excellent relaxing stay for a couple.”

When you travel the world you can replicate your life or experience something that awakens your spirit.

This is 8th Bastion.
Our room faced the interior courtyard. The room was of glass and iron, the tub ceramic tile -a mini pool to soak in after touring. It is eco conscious with lovely herbal soap from the villages. There is a lovely place to sit on a balcony and savour the night.
Our room included breakfast. To die for. Delicious breads, killer pancakes and fresh crispy bacon. They even poured coffee and it was great.
After our morning you we swam in their lovely Infinity pool and had a light lunch and amazing iced coffee under the trees.
The staff are all lovely - were they grads of the Oberoi? Taj?
But the biggest shoutout goes to the chef. A grad of one of Indias finest chains, he checked on our pleasures and needs at breakfast, served a stellar lunch and surprised my husband with a birthday cake. What a charming, generous and unexpected gesture. A true gentleman.

We stayed at this hotel between 08 and 10 November 2018. The food served in the restaurant was wonderful and presentation amazing. The chief receives 5 stars from use. Also worthy of a mention would be ARUN on hotel reception. Arun was very professional and worked hard to make sure our arrival and departure through hotel reception was a pleasure. Thank you. Travel Tips

Wear light cottons, cool shades, and the right sunblock while exploring the city in the tropical summer. Fort Kochi is a heritage paradise, so there is a lot of walking to do. Pack a comfortable pair of shoes and a hat. You should make the time to visit the many art galleries across the city.
