We visited Marari Beach in 2015 and loved it so much that when we were planning our Southern India trip in 2019 it was clear that we had to end our holiday back at Marari Beach for some "chill out" time. This was an excellent decision and on our second visit we met some people on their seventeenth and it's easy to understand why. Lovely accommodation, great food and fantastic people.
We were most impressed with this resort from the initial check in to the wave goodbye. The cottage with outside bathroom was lovely with the nice touch of loose tea and coffee with brewing instructions. Every member of staff greeted you and we thoroughly enjoyed the walk with the naturalist pointing out the wildlife. I also enjoyed the early morning yoga sessions. Food was amazing with the added extra of tea cart in the afternoon. I could not fault a thing, it seems they have thought of everything. This is somewhere we will definitely return to.
I have been to the Marari Beach Resort three times. The first time was on my honeymoon 14 years ago, then again 10 years ago and then this year. Ahead of going I was worried going back that it might have faded, or that my own tastes might have changed, but I was blown away by the calm serenity and the care and friendliness of all the staff. There is a really strong sense that the staff are an extended family, and that nothing is too much trouble. I can only assume that the management have fostered this environment. We had the most wonderful time and we hope to return.
It was a stunning location and the CGH is such an amazing place to stay. Very eco friendly. The food is delicious, they take ingredients from their own garden. I absolutely loved the butterfly garden. Pool was amazing and the beach was untouched and very raw and natural.
Best place to stay in Kerala. Had stayed in pool villa, the pool was neat and clean. The villa had very nice vibe and had an antique styled door. It was private and in the afternoon a very nice place to chill under the villa roof and an adjacent tree near your very own private pool. We were treated with sweet tender coconut water and the bed was nicely decorated and the place clean for our arrival. You want to go to beach, you start from your villa take a stroll between beautiful villas and follow the pavements and after the villas end you walk in between coconut trees and suddenly the path opens up to the beautiful Marari beach. They had placed water water bottles, towels near the beach and hammocks in coconut plantation, amphitheater for evening cultural shows and a big swimming pool. Everything is done keeping travelers comfort in mind. The food here is awesome and finger licking good :) I fully enjoyed those prawns and local sea food recipes. Friendly staff and amazing place that will treat you amazingly for sure.
