Our Purpose is to connect the generous citizens of Bengaluru with
the poor who are starving in the same city, through a food network
We serve the hungry in the community through institutional feeding programmes. Bangalore Food Bank acquires donated food in the form of food grains, pulses, oils, spices, and any shelf stable grains and makes these available through a network of community-owned NGOs. Food banks address the dual problems of hunger, and food waste in the environment. We feed the hungry and the needy.
Our efforts help extend the supply chain past the end of the commercial line into an effective distribution through a philanthropic arm. Corporates continue to see their products used for their intended purpose, which is feeding people, rather than being dumped, even though the commercial value may have seized to be viable at some point further up the supply chain. We strengthen the community and protect the environment. That is the power of food banking.

+Our Networks of Good Samaritans
We are food bankers. We are a non-profit distribution agency who move shelf stable food provisions from donors to the people who need it. We are not alone. Our network includes Samaritans. Any person or corporate organisations who share our vision is connected through us to a network of NGOs who share our purpose. Working together and supporting all, we hope to ease the hunger concerns in Bengaluru. We openly invite like-minded partners to join our effort.
To ensure that the voices of malnutrition and the hungry in India are heard.
